Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reports in Charleston about the police's leniency when it comes to DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. This led to state authorities issuing more strict guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Her work in Charleston was the reason she joined as a co-anchor, reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood.
